A new beginning

The first step off the plane on a solo trip. The opening words of your first novel. The moment before you accept a new position.

As you step into something new, all that white space can be a pretty intimidating beast to stare down.

But it’s also so very, very exciting. That’s the kind of energy I’m carrying between my ears right about now: a good ol’ mix of trepidation, caffeine-riddled excitement, and pure awe that somehow, I get to try and tackle this bumpy road.

Not to worry if I am traveling said road attached to a wild, bucking horse, a cart with no weeks, or a winged Pegasus that may end up pulling an Icarus. No one has ever promised that balancing the ins and out of life would be smooth. Simply put, I am just deliriously happy to be here.

As the little intro states, Meanderthal, is a space where “wandering is celebrated, the more thick-skulled the adventure, the better.” I’ll share snippets of my travel (mis)adventures, with some anecdotes about being a freelance copywriter and illustrator sandwiched in between.

And, more likely than not, the content I write and share on Meanderthal will change just as often as I change my mind. So, if one of those topics speaks to you, perhaps we’ll be seeing more of each other!
